Samsung 102 " Plasma
High Definition TV
- HDTV

Samsung HDTV - World's Largest HDTV

Samsung displayed the Largest High Definition Plasma TV in the World - 102".  It's a concept TV that is not for sale yet.   The screen was a big hit at the show and it gave us a glimpse into the future. WOW...it was really big!

iRiver H10 5GB Multimedia Player

iRiver H10 5GB Multimedia Player in Red

This was one of our favorite products at CES. The unit is small and light-weight... similar to the iPod Mini. However, the H10 combines a very nice Color Screen, MP3 Music (1,200 songs), FM Radio, Audio Input, Voice Recorder and Photos (5,000 pictures) in one package. The cost is a little bit more money than the iPod Mini. You will also love their web site. Have fun and enjoy!

Samsung Miniket Multi Player

Samsung Miniket Multi Player

Samsung has a Hot New Palm-Sized Multi Player product line. The Multi Players weight only 5 ounces. Each 6-in-1 device is a Camcorder, Digital Camera, Voice Recorder, PC Camcorder and an MP3 Player. They even have a waterproof version for skiing and other outdoor sports. There are three models: 256MB, 512MB and 1GB of internal storage. No Tapes are needed. It is expected to ship in Q2 2005 at a retail price of $600-$800.

Ostia Real-Time Traffic Reports

Pharos GPS mapping system with web-based traffic and points of interest

The Smart Navigator web service adds real-time traffic information and points-of-interest, including hotels, gas stations, banks/ATMS, etc. to your Pocket PC map. You can use this web-service for a small monthly fee if your PDA has WiFi wireless capability. Check out this product if you are looking for a GPS system for driving, walking or hiking.

Charge 2 Go

Charge 2 Go

This great little inexpensive gadget will make you smile. You insert one AA battery in the device and then connect it to your cell phone for extra backup power. You get 2-3 hours of talk time, 90 hours of standby time and 120 minutes of charge time. Everyone should have a "Charge 2 Go in their car." Retails for $20.

Home Heartbeat

Home Heartbeat from Eaton

Home Heartbeat provides monitoring for the home using the new ZigBee wireless networking standard (IEE 802.15.4). The system can send alerts to a small digital key that you can carry in your home, email updates to a remote PC or text messages to your cell phone. This looks like a great low-cost monitoring system for a 2nd Home or Small Office. The Basic Starter Kit is $149 and there are no monthly monitoring fees. Home Heartbeat should ship by Q3 2005.

TMIO "Oven of the Future"

TMIO Oven - Refrigerator Appliance

TMIO has been working on this Oven technology for the last few years. It won a "CES Innovations Award" last year.  Here is how it works. You leave your meal in the Intelligent Oven and have it set to "refrigerator mode."  You can pre-program the oven to cook in advance or you can log-on to the internet site by PC or mobile phone later in the day to start the cooking process.  The food is done when you arrive home. If you are late, the oven can be programmed to turn off and go back to "refrigerator mode" which keeps the food from spoiling. Very Cool...no pun intended.  Look for this product in Fall 2005.

Sirius Radio or XM Radio

Sirius Radio and XM Radio are Hot in 2005

Satellite Radio has arrived in 2005. Expect to see most new cars equipped with a Satellite Radio. Either Sirius or XM Radio are good alternatives. Review the content for each service before buying the hardware. Both services are excellent.
