Consumer Electronics Show CES
2011 TOP 10+ New Products
As usual, CES was a crazy place in January.
After walking
the show floor, seeing non-stop demos and researching the products, we compiled the following list of
our favorite Top 10+ Consumer Electronics and Technology
products from the 2011 CES in Las Vegas.
Xoom Motorola Android Tablet
There were over 80+ Tablets announced at the show. They all will not make it....so we expect a big price war in Q3 & Q4 of 2011.
Of all the Tablets, the Motorola Xoom Android Tablet was the big hit of the show. It was the only Tablet with the new Google Android Tablet Operating System (OS) on display.
Note: HP finally announced their new (Palm Web OS) Tablet and promised a release by summer.
Note: Apple was NOT at the show. However, the threat of the new Apple iPad 2 Tablet (due in 2011 Q2) continued to be a main topic of discussion.
Ford Focus Electric
Ford announced the new Focus Electric at the 2011 CES instead of at the big Auto Show in Detroit. The Company has come a long way in the last five years. They now make several hot cars that I'm interested in checking out for the first time in decades.
Ford and Microsoft developed the bluetooth-enabled auto system three years ago to work with your Smartphone.
The new upgrade allows Voice-enabled commands to play music, pandora, have text messages & tweets read out-loud...and other functions.
Android Smartphones
Everyone agrees that the Motorola Atrix 4G was the Android Smartphone to beat after CES 2011. It is designed to be used as a Smartphone and as a laptop with a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
It also uses the new 4G networks for AT&T..
Samsung Wi-Fi - SH100 Camera
Samsung did
it again with a new digital
camera that has built-in Wi-Fi Wireless Communications. The camera has a chip built-in that Wirelessly transfers photos to Facebook and other web sites as you take them, including the GPS Location Info.
Pleo Robot Toy Pet by Innvo Labs
Pleo is a state-of-the-art robot toy pet that was fun to play with at CES this year.
It was very affectionate. Price is $450 More Toy Robot Information
Polaroid Lady GaGa Products
This is the 2nd year Lady GaGa
has attended CES. This year she announced Sunglasses with Cameras (& LCDs) and a portable battery-powered printer. I've been very impressed with her and her products. Watch the press conference to see her demo the new Camera Sun-Glasses, Battery-Based Printer and Camera products for yourself. More Polaroid Product Info
75" Samsung Internet HDTV D9500
My favorite HDTV was from Samsung. The 75" HDTV comes with virtually no bezel around the edge and internet connections. It's paper thin and light-weight which makes it easy to hang on a wall. Ships in Q4 2011, No Price Yet. Note: It is a 3D HDTV. However, most people don't buy the HDTVs for 3D.
Apple iPad Accessories
CES 2011 allocated a large section of the show to display Apple accessory products. It was one of the busiest sections of the show. The Show Managers expect this section to be even larger next year. Also look for an Android Section as well next year. Here are two of the Apple accessories that we liked:
Power4 Solar iPhone Case
by
Mi Suny
We like the idea of having a Smartphone Case that can charge the battery by just leaving it on the dashboard of your car (during the day of course.)
Native Union launched the MM03i - a Bluetooth-enabled handset with an
integrated charging and sync cradle dedicated to the iPhone. Designed by award-winning designer David Turpin, the MM03i is a stylish and sophisticated handset, specifically manufactured with the iPhone user in
mind and is the second iteration of the MM03 device. More Info on MMo3i
