Palm's latest member of the Treo™ smartphone family is the Treo 700w smartphone with Windows Mobile.

Like the Treo 650, the Treo 700 gives you just what you need to stay productive and in-touch, including a Mobile Phone, Outlook Mobile, Office Mobile and Internet Explorer Mobile, as well as direct access to Exchange Server 2003 for mobile access to information, MultiMediaCard / SD /SDIO expansion and a built-in camera -- all in a package small enough to slip into your pocket.

The Treo smartphone on Windows Mobile is a CDMA-based phone targeted for the U.S. market and takes advantage of Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess service on its EV-DO network with download speeds averaging 400-700 kilobits per second. Today, about half the U.S. population, in more than 84 metropolitan areas and in hundreds of airports across the nation, can access download speeds comparable to DSL or cable-modem connections.

But this premium device also boasts a variety of new features, including:

• A vibrant 320-x-240 touchscreen display that's easy to read, even in sunlight
• Integrated Bluetooth ® technology for communicating with wireless headsets, car kits, and other Bluetooth devices
• 64 MB of memory
• SD WiFi Card Available
• Verizon's EVDO 3G Wireless BroadbandAccess service
• A removable battery and non volatile memory -- so while you're swapping batteries, you won't lose any data
• An improved digital camera (1+ MPs) that also captures video
• A backlit QWERTY keyboard for easy typing
• Support for corporate email access to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
• A built-in Windows Media Player 10
• A single Inbox for text and picture messaging, so you can manage all your messages from one convenient place

Pricing and Availability:
We the Palm Treo 700w is priced between $300-$600 with a one-year wireless plan.

The Treo 700w shipped in the 1st quarter of 2006.
